Hi Everyone,

 

Me and family are planning to visit Interlaken on 24 Dec to 28 Dec 2026.

We plan to visit Gornergrat on 25 Decr and Jungfraujoch on 26 Dec.

I would like to clarify a few things regarding the Jungfraujoch tickets:

Is it correct that Eurail Global Pass holders are entitled to a 25% discount on Jungfraujoch train tickets?

If so, how can I purchase a round-trip ticket from Interlaken West to Jungfraujoch and back to Interlaken West while taking advantage of the 25% discount? Can I purchase the discounted tickets directly at Interlaken West Station, or should I book them online through a specific website?

Would you recommend booking Jungfraujoch tickets well in advance, or would it be safe to purchase them directly on the day of travel, 26 December 2026?

I haven’t decided yet where to go on 27 Dec. Do you have any recommendations for interesting places to visit?

I would greatly appreciate your advice and recommendations to help us plan our trip accordingly.

December 27 is a Sunday so most shops will still be closed for the holidays. But the trains and other public transport will be running so I recommend exploring nearby towns such as Thun and Spiez. If you are planning to shop a bit, the railcity in Lucerne and Bern are open on Sundays.
