Is there a bus to the Oeschinen gondola and then to the lake itself?
Lambey is planning a trip to Lake Oeschinensee in early June and needs advice on getting from the Kandersteg train station to the mountain lift. They want to know if they should walk or take a bus and if there is a bus from the top of the lift to the lake.
- You can walk to the cable car station from Kandersteg train station in about 15 minutes, or take a bus that runs from June to October.
- An electric shuttle bus operates at the top of the lift to Lake Oeschinensee; tickets must be purchased on-site without reservations.
- Check the Swiss timetable for bus schedules to plan your trip smoothly.

Hoping to visit the lake in early June but we are not too active (both mid 80s)
From the railway station do we walk or get a bus to the mountain lift ?
Having successfully arrived at the top does the ‘bus’ still run between the top of the lift and the lake?
Many thanks
Lambey
