Hi Dennis yap99,
Welcome to MySwissAlps.
Mountain transportations specifically cable cars and gondolas usually operate from 8 am to 6pm. Trains and buses between towns operate longer. You can check the schedules here: http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable. So if you are planning hikes in the mountains such as on Grindelwald First or Männlichen, take note of the cable car operating hours.

Anna

Hi Dennis yap99,
Yes, it’s common to see people hike all day in the summer especially within the Jungfrau region. If you’re hiking in the mountains and dependent on mountain transportation, you need to plan and time your hikes carefully so you don’t miss your connections. But in some places, if you miss the last cable car, there is always the option to hike down. In summer the days are long so this option is reasonably feasible.
