Lauterbrunnen to Grindelwald First: best route via train+cable car?
A traveler is planning a trip to Switzerland starting on April 6, 2024, focusing on Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, and Grindelwald. They want to know if their plan to take a train and enjoy the scenic rides is feasible and what the best way to do it is. They've visited the area before and are eager for new experiences this time around.
- Consider doing the Royal Ride from Wengen to Mannlichen for stunning views; it's an additional 5 CHF per person.
- Verify your travel plans carefully, as the cable cars will close for maintenance after April 7, so you may need an alternative route after that date.
- Make sure to check the timetable for the last gondola down from Grindelwald First to avoid being stranded.
