Hello,

I would like to visit Lindt Home of Chocolate during my visit to Zurich and I have a couple of questions regarding which transportation and offer to use.

Zurich Card
1. Zurich Card mentions it offers 10% discount at Lindt Home of Chocolate but I can’t find the same information on Lindt website. Can I ask if the offer applies to purchase of any chocolate / product / cafe at Lindt? And does my Zurich Card have to be valid throughout the whole visit for the offer (including the time of purchase)?
2. I tried to buy student ticket with Zurich Card discount, however, only adult ticket can be added. Can I ask if I could only buy adult ticket with this offer?

RailAway
1. I see RailAway is another very good offer to use and it allows me to purchase a ZVV 24h-Ticket 4 Zones ticket together at a discount. However, I am required to choose the starting station and time for my journey to Lindt and also return journey. Can I ask when will the ZVV 24h-Ticket 4 Zones ticket start counting? For example, it will start right from the train I chose or it will only start when from the time I validate the ticket on the day? Also, am I required to validate the ticket from the station I chose?

Hi JasL,

Thank you for your questions and in answer to your questions:

1.  If you have the Zurich Card, you’ll receive 20% off the entrance free to the Lindt Home of Chocolate.  There is no additional discount for the student entrance fee. You will need to show your valid Zurich Card when you visit the Lindt Home of Chocolate together with your ticket. So, correct, there is only a discount to the adult entrance fee (you would pay 13.60chf instead of 17.00chf).

To buy this discounted ticket, you would need to do this via the Zurich tourism website.  If you scroll to “Other websites of interest” in our Zurich guide below, you can find the link.  Under the “Public transport in Zurich” section, you can also find options to buy your Zurich Card.

2. If you purchase a 24h ZVV ticket, it is valid for 24h from the moment of purchase, so if you bought it at 16:00h, it’s valid for 24h from 16:00h.  If you have purchased the ticket in advance, you have the option to set the start time for the desired date.
