Lucerne to Italy day trip possible?

Hi guys. Currently in Lucerne and have covered most of the places and mountains and wanna pass titlist since saw too many mountains in this trip.

is travelling to Milan and back possible? I have 1 full day tomorrow.

I also have the Swiss travel pass. Any advice?

Hi Liverpudlian,

That’s possible but it takes 3:15 one way, so 6.5 hours of travel at least. So you’re looking at a long day. You’ll find details in the timetable: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable. You would need a ticket from Chiasso to Milan: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy. The rest is covered by your Swiss Travel Pass.
