Luggage storage for a week at Zurich

Short summary – read this first

Fundu is looking for a luggage storage facility in Zurich for a week but is having trouble finding options. Google searches show limited choices, including a site with a 96-hour rental period and expensive staffed options. He's seeking advice on how to book a reliable storage solution for his trip.

Key takeaways:
  • Check out the luggage storage service directly at Zurich airport for convenient options.
  • Consider hotels like Radisson Blu that allow luggage storage for guests, but be aware this could be costly.
  • Look for alternative local services or ask at the train station for any lesser-known options.

My wife and I planned a 2 week train trip to Switzerland last year which was eventually cancelled. We had a similar issue of trying to find a place to store 1 or 2 larger suitcases because our Switzerland travel was on the tail end of a couple weeks in Europe that required more clothes, shoes, etc. No lockers were large enough, etc. We started and ended our trip in Zurich and we decided to stay in the Radisson Blu Hotel at the Airport because they agreed to let us store our larger suitcases there, while we traveled around Switzerland as long as we stayed there before and after our Switzerland train trip. This is now an expensive option based on the cost for the hotel that we researched last week but it was less expensive last year.
