Are views better on the route Arth-Goldau – Rigi or Vitznau – Rigi?

    Hi,

    Are the views similar in both blue line (from Arth goldau) and red line (from vitznau) cogwheel trains to rigi kulm or is any one better than the other?

    Hi sim,

    That’s nice you are considering a visit to Mt. Rigi.  We have a guide explaining all the routes. See link below and scroll to “How to reach Rigi: directions and map”:

    The Vitznau option offers stunning views of Lake Lucerne, it can get quite busy on days when the weather is fine so if preference is a quieter route, Arth-Goldau-Rigi Kulm would be the better choice. On a clear day you’ll witness Lake Zug and greenery whilst traveling up.

    If time permits, many opt to go up one way and down the other so they can experience both sets of scenery 🙂
