Driving from Italy to Wengen in September – mountain passes, routes

    We will be coming to Wengen by car from Lucca Italy and 3 days later driving to Managgio Italy on Lake Como

    I love driving the mountains. Looking for suggested routes,  a different one each way. Maybe the auto train ? ( How much time does that save vs driving?) Sounds neat but we will be there in September and believe the passes would still be open

    Please take note that Wengen is a car-free village and you will need to park your car in Lauterbrunnen or Interlaken then take a train to Wengen. You can find more info about this here: https://www.myswissalps.com/town/wengen/
