Basel Rhine cruise – access from hotels in Germany, France

    My  husband and I are taking a Viking Rhine cruise in June, leaving from Basel.  If we found a hotel that we liked in France or Germany nearby, is there any problem getting to the cruise terminal?  Thanks, Donnie

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

    Basel has good transport links with numerous border towns in Germany and France. If you find a good hotel across the border, might be a good idea to ask how quick or far is it to get to Basel with public transport. You can use the Swiss timetable ( https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/public-transport/timetable/) to gauge travel distance.
