Interlaken to Geneva via the GoldenPass route with Saver Day Pass
A traveler is planning a trip from Interlaken to Geneva and is looking for clarity on the train services. They are confused about the GoldenPass route and whether a direct train exists between the two cities. Additionally, they want to know if their Saver Day Pass, paired with their Swiss Half Fare Card, covers the entire journey without needing additional tickets.
- To travel from Interlaken to Geneva via the scenic GoldenPass Express, switch trains in Montreux for connections to Geneva.
- The Saver Day Pass covers the entire route, meaning no additional tickets are needed, but it's recommended to book seats on the GoldenPass Express.

I am planning to travel from Interlaken to Geneva. I see that there is a Golden Pass train that runs between the two cities. But when I check the SBB website, I can only see golden pass running from Interlaken to Spiez and then I have to transfer to normal intercity trains. Is this correct? Can’t I take a direct train from Interlaken to Geneva? Can someone share some clarity on this please?
Also, I am planning to take a Saver day pass for this day (along with Swiss half fare card that I already hold)? Does this entire route gets covered with a saver day pass? If I have a saver day pass, can I travel without purchasing a ticket?
Thank you!
