One day in Switzerland from Dijon?
A traveler, ChristaP13, is planning a one-day trip to Switzerland from Dijon in June. They want to know if visiting Lausanne and taking a Lake Geneva cruise is the best use of their time and if there are shorter cruise options available. They are also curious about the Olympic Museum's value for their two teenage daughters.
- Yes, there are shorter cruise options on Lake Geneva than 4 hours.
- Lausanne is a convenient choice for a day trip from Dijon, taking about 2 hours by train.
- Consider visiting Montreux for a quick boat trip as well.
- The Olympic Museum in Lausanne is a worthwhile visit, especially for teenagers.

We will be in France for 10 days in June. We are going to spend part of our trip based in Dijon and want to try to do a day trip to Switzerland. Our initial plan is Lausanne and do a Lake Geneva cruise. Is that the best way to spend one quick day? If so, are there shorted cruises on Lake Geneva than 4 hours? Is the Olympic Museum worth it? We will have our 17 and 19 year old daughters with us. Thanks!
