Overview of the Swiss Travel System passes in 2019
A traveler started the thread to discuss changes to the Swiss Travel Pass for 2019, seeking updated information on ticket pricing and coverage. They noted that trips to certain mountains will remain free, while prices for various travel passes have also been detailed, making it essential for future tourists to understand what they need to budget for.
- The Swiss Travel Pass continues to offer free entry to specific mountain excursions like Rigi and partial discounts on others, so tourists should check current validity.
- Travelers can expect no increases in general ticket prices for trains, but some passes, like the Swiss Travel Pass Flex, have specific price points and coverage details.
- It’s advisable for visitors to compare the benefits of the Swiss Travel Pass against other passes to find the most economical choice for their travel plans.
