Driving in March – France to Italy and passing through Switzerland
Dave is planning a trip from France to Italy, driving through Switzerland via the Mont Blanc Tunnel at the end of March. He's concerned about potential weather risks and is looking for advice on the best route.
- Expect possible snow on mountain roads in March, so be prepared.
- Ensure your vehicle has winter tyres and bring snow chains for added safety.
- Check the official road conditions before your trip for the safest driving experience.

Hello,
Before our trip to Switzerland we will be travelling from France to Italy. Google maps suggests we drive through along the border of Switzerland, mont blanc tunnel and down to Genoa.
This will be at the end of March. Is this risky due to weather. Would anyone suggest a better route?
Thanks, Dave
