Planning to book Swiss Travel Pass from Klook

Short summary – read this first

A traveler is planning to book a Swiss Travel Pass for four consecutive days via Klook and has several questions about the process. They want to know if the e-ticket is valid, how to handle a long name on the pass, the expected delivery time for the ticket, and if there are better discount options or alternatives to Klook.

Key takeaways:
  • The Swiss Travel Pass will be sent via email, which you can print or keep on your phone.
  • Write the name on the pass exactly as it appears in your passport, even if it gets abbreviated by Klook.
  • Typically, you will receive your e-ticket in 1-2 business days, but it may take longer around busy periods.
  • Klook is a suitable option for purchasing the Swiss Travel Pass, but feel free to compare prices with other sites for potential discounts.

    Hi Mohnish jain,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps!

    1. You’ll receive the actual pass through e-mail. You can print it at home and additionally keep a copy on your phone. I believe they also offer physical passes to be shipped, but there’s no advantage to that. Please see https://www.klook.com/ activity/11366-e-ticket-swiss-travel-consecutive-rail-pass/.

    2. You should write the names as they are printed in your passport. Klook may abbreviate the names but that’s up to them,

    3. Normally 1-2 business days. Lately some orders seem to take a bit longer; might have to do with orders placed around Labour day.

    4. / 5. Klook is fine and so are the other websites listed here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price. It’s up to you who you prefer.

Ok.But as mentioned by you that klook can abbreviate the name .So,is it fine if the name is abbreviated as the ticket examining officer may highlight this that the name is not matching completly with the name in passport.

Yes, that’s fine. It’s a limitation of the Swiss Travel Pass and will happen wherever you buy it in case of long names. They won’t sell you an invalid pass, no worries.
