    We have an expression in Oz which refers to a headless chook.

    Actually, any attempt at all at one of the dialects usually gets a positive response, in my experience.

    The “ischtchr” part is tough. Unsurpassable, I’d say, not to mention unpronouncable unless you are Swiss. The Aussies took the easy way out with “chook.”
