I think I’d digressed from the OP’s question. I concur with others that 100 CHF is plenty for food for 1 person per day. No transportation spending needed since the OP can get the city card.

Lunch can be 20 to 25. Dinner 40. Breakfast 10 -15. And left over money for snack. I’d recommend splurging it on gourmet chocolate from fancy shops. Those that weigh your chocolate by the gram. I had Laderach dark chocolate several times, and not expensive. 3 to 4 CHF for a decent size piece broken from one of their big slabs.

The walking tour guide in Geneva pointed out some shop in Geneva that was voted the best chocolate in Switzerland, but I didn’t have time to retrace the steps to try it. Started with T something.

I didn’t have much luck with ice cream /gelato quality, which was quite expensive. 3.5 to 4.5 per scoop and didn’t taste too good. Better to spend the money on chocolate. Only exception was the ice cream shop in the brewery next to the bear park in Bern. Artisanal ice cream with natural ingredients. I love pistachio and you can tell theirs were made from the real thing–not greenish in color but natural pistachio color.
