Hi.

We have planned our vacation in Switzerland and during the last week we have booked four days in Monterosso. I am having a difficult time trying to get train connections and tickets for the Italy part of the journey and back. We would like to leave as early as possible on June 22nd and return early on June 26th. We would like to take the fastest route and I thought that would be through Domodossola but am unable to find the connection from there to Monterosso. We do have the Swiss pass..just need to find out where to purchase tickets.

Your Swiss Travel Pass will cover you to Domodossola which is in fact the fastest route (see attached extract from SBB Timetable for a random day in May). You will need an Italian ticket and reservations for that leg. See http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy.
