Reserving panaroma seats on Bernina Express
A traveler named AussieTravel is planning a trip to Europe next year, including a ride on the Bernina Express from Italy to Zurich on June 7. They want to know how to reserve a seat in the panoramic carriage and whether all the carriages are panoramic or if a specific one is needed.
- All carriages on the Bernina Express are panoramic, so any choice will offer great views.
- When reserving, select either 1st or 2nd class according to your ticket type and pay a CHF10 reservation fee.
- If you see a higher reservation fee, it may be related to the season you're traveling in.

Hi All,
I’ll be visiting Europe next year, heading through Italy and departing from Zurich.
I have tickets booked for the Bernina Express on 7 Jun 2020, but am curious as to how to reserve a seat in panorama carriage.
I only saw that and there’s a choice of 4 ‘wagons’. Are all 4 panorama? Do I need to pick a particular ‘wagon’ to ensure I get a panorama one?
I’m hoping the answer is quite simple 🙂
Many thanks.
