Luggage Forwarding Service – how to attach label?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named Rockoyster is planning to use the luggage forwarding service and wants to know if it's better to print luggage labels at home before arriving at the departure station. They are curious about how to attach these prefilled labels to their luggage.

Key takeaways:
  • Printing luggage labels at home can save you time at the station since staff will just need to insert them into plastic tags.
  • When using the luggage forwarding service, make sure to drop off your luggage by 9 AM for same-day delivery.
  • The staff at the station will assist you with attaching your labels and provide you with a receipt that indicates your luggage arrival time.

    Hi Rockoyster,

I only used this service before print at home existed, but I assume you’ll save time by printing the label at home: the staff just has to insert it in a plastic tag. Normally plastic tags are used to identify luggage: http://www.raileurope.com/act ivities/express-flight-luggage-to-switzerland/index.html.

    Hi,

We just used the express service sending our luggage from wengen to zermatt. The staff at station will help you with the rest with all the label and all. Your receipt will clearly mention what time your luggage will arrive at the station. Just make sure you drop it in time, it was 9am for ours same day delivery.
