on the sbb App for seat reservations there is a map of seats.

a) how do I know which is the front of the train

b) are all “not available seats” truly booked or will some become available later when bookings are getting full, please?

Hi Paul,

Are you making seat reservations on the panoramic trains? In most cases, the app doesn’t show the direction of travel as sometimes the train switches direction mid route.

If you can’t get seats now, it’s worth trying again later as reserved seats may be released and become available again.
