Hi everyone

We plan to visit Rhine Fall from Zurich HB on 16 June (a Sunday) and take the Rhyfall Maendli ‘blue’ 15-minute boat ride. I have planned to use a specific train arriving between 11 and 12 but I may be late (as in getting up late). I wonder if it would be okay not to buy the boat ticket online in advance, and queue up on the day (but it’s a Sunday)? It may still be a bit difficult to time when we will be there and how long to walk from the station to the pier, etc. Looks like the most straightforward route would be a direct train to Neuhausen then walk 30 min to Rhyfall Maendli?

Any advice would be greatly received.

Neuhausen is an option to alight for the Rhine Falls, as is Schloss Laufen.  Last time I visited I arrived at Schloss Laufen and took the train from Neuhausen back to Zurich.

The boat ride can get popular but if you are unsure of arrival time and you are happy to wait till the day.  I am sure it will be fine.

Thank you Yolanda. Your information is amazing. I studied more on the myswissalps article, double checked the train station locations and realised that following the myswissalps suggested tour would be the best. Awesome!
