    Hi Cathylou.

I am also single, in my 60s and fairly active

I am leaving for a tour with Insight on September 2 for two weeks. They have other single people and there is no single supplement.

I am very new to this travel form and do not know if people ever contact each other directly or not. I do not want to break any rules that I may not be aware of.

I have also heard good things about Rhodes Scholar by the way FYI, it is costing me about 5000 I think including optional tours and airfare for two weeks in Switzerland which is a pretty good deal

Sorry about the mistakes but I dictated this.

    Hi Sambon-

<<“I am very new to this travel form and do not know if people ever contact each other directly or not. I do not want to break any rules that I may not be aware of.”>>

Direct contact is not available on the Forum. When information is posted publicly, it helps everyone who reads it. There are quite a few people who read posts but don’t necessarily reply. I certainly learn a lot that way.

    This may help:

    Hi Cathylou,

Does the guided tour you are considering use the trains, or do you mean you would be happy to do some exploring by yourself using the trains?

If you are considering some independent travel in Switzerland, you couldn’t have picked a better country! It is very safe and easy to get around, and there is a wealth of information on MySwissAlps to assist you, in addition to the forum, especially if you have plenty of time to plan.
