Ski goggles or glasses for sledging?

Short summary – read this first

Shan is planning a sledging trip in the Grindewald region and is curious about whether wearing goggles is necessary and if they can be rented. The advice suggests trying without goggles first and considering sunglasses based on the weather.

Key takeaways:
  • You may not need to wear ski goggles; personal preference can guide your choice.
  • Consider using sunglasses if the weather is bright.

    Hi Shan,

No I don’t think it would be necessary to wear ski goggles. Personal preference might dictate otherwise of course. I’d try without them and/or with sunglasses depending on the weather. And if need be buy a pair.

It’s possible where you rent sledges might also rent goggles but I’m not sure on that as I haven’t been there before to sledge. 🙂
