Short summary – read this first

A traveler is gearing up for a trip to the huts in Switzerland and is seeking advice on sleeping bag liners. They're specifically looking for recommendations on what type to get, as it seems that having one is required in these accommodations.

Key takeaways:
  • A standard Youth Hostel inner sheet works well for hut stays.
  • Consider a silk liner for comfort and compactness, as it folds up small.
  • If you're crafty, you can make a simple liner from a bed sheet by sewing the foot and side together.

    Hi.

A standard Youth Hostel inner sheet will work fine. I use a silk one which folds up very small and is very comfy. You can make your own by folding a bed sheet in half and sewing the foot and side together to make a sleeping bag. That will work, but it’s bulky.
