Supersaver tickets + Swiss Half Fare Card
A traveler named Gabymier is planning a trip to Switzerland in September and is looking for advice on buying super saver tickets with a half fare card. They want to know if they need to purchase the half fare card before buying super saver tickets and how far in advance those tickets are available.
- You can buy super saver tickets without a Swiss Half Fare Card, but make sure to have it during travel or risk fines.
- Super saver tickets can be purchased up to 60 days in advance, providing plenty of time to plan.
- It's advisable to purchase the Swiss Half Fare Card first for discounts and convenience.
- If your plans change, be cautious with super saver tickets as they are not flexible for changes.

Hi everyone,
I am planning my itinerary for September and I intend to purchase the half fare card + Top of Europe pass, but haven’t done it yet.
I have been monitoring point to point tickets for specific trips outside the “top or Europe pass” area of validity and I see there are super saver fares available if I buy in advance.
My questions are:
1. can I buy super saver tickets at half fare in advance, considering I will have a half fare card later when I´m there, or do I need to buy the HFC online first and then purchase super saver tickets?
2. how far in advance are super saver tickets available, is it 30 or 60 days?
Thanks!!!
