Usually the timetable is up to date and I always go by that. Can you share the PDF you used?
Perhaps keep an eye on the timetable and see if it changes to reflect the construction.

I’ll surely keep checking the timetable to see if any changes are reflected.
I tried attaching the file here but it says it can’t attach a file bigger than 1 MB

Hello Vidhi,
Perhaps attached is the timetable you were looking at? It suggests replacement bus from 10/12/2017 to 14/10/2018 which can’t possibly be correct. The SBB timetable rules!

What that actually says is this:
For services notated with the number 10 inside a black square:
- The train service runs between 10 December 2017 and 14 October 2018.
- From 15 October 2018 there is a bus replacement service between Interlaken Ost and Brienz.
That bus replacement service will continue at least until the end of the current timetable period, which ends on 8 December 2018. I think they are already working on that section of track (renovating a tunnel), but until 15 October, the bus services are only replacing train services after 21:30 on Sunday-Thursday nights.

Yes, the devil is definitely in the detail of those timetable notations. But you were right in the end – if in doubt, trust the SBB timetable!

Haha. So final conclusion is that nothing is affecting my 19.04 departure I guess. Thanks for all the help 🙂
