We will be traveling from Zurich to Wengen in early September to do daily hikes for 9 days and then traveling to Barcelona to connect to the town of Ripoli by train and then return to Barcelona after a bike trip. Would a Swiss Travel Pass or a Eurail Pass be better (cost wise)? We plan to take the train out of Wengen each day to connect to trail heads (weather permitting) and riding local buses and gondolas. In Spain we will need to use the rail and bus system for getting to/from Ripoli and then general transport in Barcelona for 3 days. Will the Eurail Pass allow for free local bus, boat and gondola/cable car transport like the Swiss Travel Pass?
