Swiss Travel Pass/scenic seat reservation: refunds
Miggles and her husband are planning their first trip to Switzerland in May, intending to take the Bernina Express and Gothard Panoramic Express. They want to know about the cancellation policies for these trips and the Swiss Travel Pass, considering their age and possible future health issues.
- For the Swiss Travel Pass, it's usually refundable if canceled 1 to 4 days in advance, but check the specific terms of your reseller.
- Once confirmed, seat reservations for the Bernina Express and Gotthard Panoramic Express are typically non-refundable, but you might be able to get some reimbursement in exceptional cases.

My husband and I are traveling next May to Switzerland for the first time. We plan to take the Bernia Express and Gothard Panoramic Express. We are in our mid 70’s. I want to know what the cancellation policies are for these trips. I have read about each one on your sight but did not see how far in advance we could cancel if needed. Our intention is not to cancel but at our age, who knows about future health issues. Also, the same question about the Swiss Travel Pass cancellation.
Thanks,
Miggles
