    Hi

i’ve been trying to finalize my trip (with family, kids are 6& 1) during June this year and most of the travel agents (from Dubai) provides coach for the mandatory trips and optional are on us so we can choose the type of travel. Now honestly, I would like to know pros and cons of taking a coach against train, if that’s not a stupid question ;). I will definitely take the Jungfraudich and cable cars!

travel agents says it’s convenient, allows more time to spend at the location and cheaper. Any suggestions please?

    thanks very much

    Hi Raj,

A guided tour by coach is a relaxing way to see a lot of Switzerland without spending time on creating an itinerary yourself. You don’t have to worry about booking hotels, tickets, routes, etc. But some travellers prefer to plan their trips as it is more personalised and rewarding although you may need to put in more effort on research. But travelling by train in Switzerland is fairly easy once you have a bit practice.

If you’d like to plan your own trip, first you need to come up with a basic itinerary. You’ll find the plenty resources here: http://www.myswissalps.com/plantrip/doityourself

Use the sample itineraries to give you some ideas: http://www.myswissalps.com/plantrip/doityourself/sampleitineraries

Once you’ve finalised your plan, it will be easier to decide which railpass to consider: http://www.myswissalps.com/plantrip/doityourself/sampleitineraries

Feel free to share with us your basic itinerary and ask for feedback.

    Regards,

    Anna
