Hey all, I didn’t expect to be posting on suggestions for Swiss adventures this year but my permit for the Wonderland trail around Mt Rainier was denied (thousands of applications for a few hundred permits) and my Pacific Northwest road trip was stymied by an aging vehicle (200k miles on it) and roads washed out by floods and airfare to Zurich is 3x cheaper than airfare and car rental so here I am again planning a trip to Switzerland! Also I have been watching too many serial killer documentaries on Netflix, most of which were in the PNW haha. I have over 3 weeks again will be camping.

Since I won’t be in “Bigfoot” country as planned I remember slowpoke mentioning the legend of the “wild man” of Switzerland and saw the Lötschental as one area to hike; any other suggestions? I’m looking for something historic, unusual and off the beaten path but also reachable by transportation. And no serial killers.
