A traveler named Amitab50 is planning a visit to Switzerland in early March 24 and is curious whether they can expect to see green pastures or just snow. It's generally unlikely to see green pastures in March, especially since ski season may still be ongoing in some areas and trees will remain bare until later in the spring.
Key takeaways:
For greener landscapes and better weather, consider postponing your trip to May.
In May, you'll likely see trees blooming, flowers blossoming, and cows grazing, especially in lower areas.
If hiking is on your agenda, note that not all trails may be accessible in May.

Welcome to MySwissAlps. That’s great to hear you are planning a trip to Switzerland next year.
Generally speaking, it’s unlikely for you to be able to see pure green pastures in March. At the lower levels possibly but for sure the trees will still be bare till April/May time. In some of the mountains, it’s actually still ski season.
If you are wanting milder weather, the southern part of Switzerland would be your best bet. That would be the Ticino region: https://www.myswissalps.com/ticino

Will check for the regions you have mentioned. Will it better to alter the dates for may, as that would be a better time to visit basis my requirements.
I would say in May, you would have a better chance of experiencing green pastures. The weather should be pleasant at the lower levels. Flowers blossoming, trees blooming , cows heading out to graze. That said, in the mountains, it could be still a little chilly.
If you are intending to hike, not all trails will be open in May.
