Hi FiMe,
Yes, you can purchase the Swiss Travel Pass Flex upon arrival from the SBB travel office at the airport.
But it’s also a good idea to purchase it advance if you plan to use it immediately once you arrived. Options to purchase are available from this link: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-travel-pass-flex/#tickets

Thank you, Anna!
A few questions, please –
1) do we have to choose all the 15 days of travel in advance when we activate the 15 day flex pass initially?
Or can we activate each day as we go along, depending on our plans? (Since we are unlikely to have a fixed itinerary and plans will be made as the trip progresses… )
2) Since we’ll be about 33 days in Switzerland in total, what are the options for the approximate other 15 days when the Flex pass is not valid?
3) 15 days within the month – means?if our first day of activation is say 3rd May, then the last possible day would be 3rd June? Or is the month considered as the calendar month?
Thanks,
F

In response to your other questions:
- You can activate your travel days as you go along. As long as you’ve done so before boarding the first boat/train/bus that day, you’re ready to go! You’ll find details under “How does the Swiss Travel Pass Flex work?” at https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-travel-pass-flex/#downloads.
- Which option is best for the remaining days, depends on your travel plans. A Swiss Half Fare Card is often worth it: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-half-fare-card/. But you’d have to make calculations based on your travel plans to make sure. Here’s how to: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/tickets/compare/.
- The pass is valid for a maximum of 1 month, counted from your selected start date (e.g.: from July 15 to August 14 at the latest). So this is is not measured in calendar months.
I hope this helps you out. Let us know if you have more questions!
