We are planning to visit Switzerland but confused how to plan a successful hiking trip. We wii be in Switzerland for ten days and want to do mainly moderate hikes. Originally our thought was to do the Alpine Pass Route starting at Meiringen and ending at Gsteig. Is that route more for advanced hikers? Taking gondolas along the way is a possibility too based on the difficulty of the hike. Are huts/refugios easy to reserve in advance on the Alpine Pass Route?

Another option would be to hike around Interlakken, take the tram to Murren, hike to Gimmelwald, visit Lake Geneva and possibly Lausanne, .Is it possible to hike to Jungrau from Gimmelwald? If so, what is the difficulty? I have also read that First is a “must see”. So many great places to consider!

Any suggestions you could give would be greatly appreciated!
