Tax refund in Geneva for purchase in Switzerland
Richelle Soh is planning a trip to Switzerland, arriving in Zurich at the end of November and taking a train from Genève Cornavin to Paris. She wants to know if she can get a tax refund for her Swiss purchases at the Geneva train station or if she should fly to Paris instead. Traveling by train is recommended for this route.
- You can get your tax refund at the Customs Office located at Genève Cornavin train station.
- You don't need a boarding pass to get your customs stamp at Geneva Airport.
- Taking the train from Geneva to Paris is faster and more convenient than flying.

Hi! I will be arriving at Zurich in end November and my return flight will be from Paris.
I am intending to take a train to Paris from Genève Cornavin during the last leg of my trip. May I check if I will be able to get back my tax refund for my Switzerland purchase at Geneva train station when I depart to Paris? Or would you recommend to take a flight over to Paris?
Thank you!
