Jungfraujoch with Jungfrau Travel Pass: tickets, routes, reservations
A traveler is planning a trip to Jungfraujoch and has the Jungfrau Travel Pass. They want to know if two hours is enough time there and how to handle seat reservations for the train, especially if they're running late. They appreciate the help from the forum in planning their trip to Switzerland.
- Two hours at Jungfraujoch is usually sufficient to enjoy the views.
- You need to purchase seat reservations for trips to Jungfraujoch only between May and August; it's optional at other times.
- If you miss your reserved train, you can join the unreserved line to catch a later train.
- With a Jungfrau Travel Pass, you can get off at Eigergletscher and board the next train to Kleine Scheidegg without additional fees.

First of all, a big “Thank You” for this website and answering all of our questions and all the information that is available on this site. What a help you have been!! Our last question. We plan on visiting TOE and we have the Jungfrau Travel Pass. I know I need to purchase the last part of the trip. Is two hours sufficient and if we buy the two hour window tickets and we’re late getting back to the train, do we go into a unreserved line to depart from the TOE? Read something about reserved and unreserved lines. Don’t want to spend the day there. Also, when we arrive back to Eigergletscher can we get off the train and head back on the next train to Kleine Scheidegg with our JTP? Started planning ten months ago and now our departure for Switzerland is upon us. I’m so thankful for this website, moderators and information. YOU helped our trip planning so much!!!!!
