    Hi Roberto,

In general I recommend shoes that have good grips and are water resistant. There are various brands in the market, might take a few tries to find the right one.

    Good advice from Anna!

It’s not possible to recommend a specific show as it depends on foot width and other sizing variables. If you have a sports shop that carries walking/hiking shoes go there and try on several different brands (while wearing the heavier hiking socks she may be wearing).

My personal favorite is Merrell Moab but I have a wide foot. You can get an idea about the kind of soles you should look for by looking here

    https://www.merrell.com/US/en/moab-3-waterproof/52453W.html?dwvar_52453W_color=J500160#cgid=womens-moab&start=1

The best soles are Vibram brand, the Moabs come standard with Vibrams. They have great grip, help keep you from slipping, and have great torsional rigidity which is important on rocky or uneven terrain.

    Hi Roberto,

Agree, best to try a few pairs.  It’s very personal.  I have a preference for Salomon or On hiking shoes. My first pair of hiking shoes were Merrells which Kim suggests.  Mammut is also a popular brand too.

    Happy shopping.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda

Hi Roberto-  I have found Oboz to be a great choice.   I use those here in Montana, USA.   https://obozfootwear.com/en-us/

    Warm regards,
