    Hi,

I want to check that can I use Swiss Travel Pass from Basel SBB to Paris Gare de Lyon through TGV Train depart from Basel SBB ? I will leave Interlaken to Basell SBB (this route I can use my Swiss Travel Pass) – however I am not sure for the border train from Basel to Paris – my Swiss travel Pass can be applicable ?

What if it is applicable to use my Swiss Travel Pass for this route – how can I buy the ticket ? Can I buy the ticket online and apply Swiss Travel Pass during the payment process ?

Appreciate your helps on this matter.

    Hieu.

    Hello Hieu,

I’m afraid you cannot use Swiss Travel Pass from Basel SBB to Paris Gare De Lyon TGV. I’ve purchased my TGV Lyria tickets for similar travel from: https://www.sncf-connect.com

    Thanks

    Hi hieuvo,

If you are travelling from Basel to Paris, you will have to pay the standard price as Basel is located right at the border: see https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-travel-pass/. If you are travelling from Zurich to Paris, then you might get some discount on the Swiss portion of your journey. I’ve purchased a ticket to travel on the TGV Lyria and got a discount with my Half Fare Card. I think if you have a Swiss Travel Pass, you will also get some discounts if you purchase the ticket from the SBB website or train station.

You can find useful tips on travel and tickets between Switzerland and France here: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-guide/france-switzerland/

    Hope this helps.

    regards,

    Anna
