Travel by car in Grindelwald – First
A traveler is planning a car rental for their stay in Grindelwald from late September to early October. They want to visit the First Cliff Walk and are curious about parking options since most people seem to take public transport. It's good to know that there are better, cost-effective alternatives to driving.
- Most of the area, including First, is car-free, so it’s advisable to use public transport instead.
- Consider getting a rail pass; it offers better value for travel in the region compared to renting a car.
- You can save money with a free Visitors Card from hotels, which allows for free bus rides.
- For unlimited travel options, look into the Jungfrau Pass, especially if planning to visit multiple attractions.

We are renting a car for our stay in Grindelwald from 27th September to 2nd October. We are interested in visiting the First Cliff Walk and just was wandering if we can drive up there and park? Because everyone that i see are taking the bus or the gondola up there and we are just trying to save some money! Thanks in advance for answers.
