    Hi everyone

    I will be travelling to Swiss for 5 days from Milan:

    Day 1: From Milan to Grindelwald (Swiss Transfer Ticket)

    Day 2 & 3 : Grindelwald (Swiss Travel Pass)

    Day 4 : Bern (Swiss Travel Pass)

    Day 5: From Bern back to Milan (Swiss Transfer Ticket)

    My questions:

    1) I presume the best and cheapest option is to buy “Swiss Transfer Ticket” for outbound and inbound from / to Milan and “Swiss Travel Pass” for the 3 days at Grindelwald and Bern as illustrated above?

    2) From Milan I need to buy train ticket to Domodossola. From Domodossola can I buy the ticket (by activating my Swiss Transfer Ticket) to Grindelwald? OR…. Buy the ticket to Brig? At Brig buy another ticket to Spiez – Interlaken – Grindelwald?

    1. I’m not sure a Swiss Transfer Ticket (http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstransferticket) is the cheapest option for you. I’d check prices for tickets from Milan to Grindelwald and Bern to Milan online first to see the prices you get: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy
    2. Then buy a Swiss Travel Pass online here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price for 3 days.
    3. Alternatively, if you have a Swiss Travel Pass that is valid on your entry or exit day, you only need a ticket to/from Swiss border and Milan (Domodossola).

    The Swiss Transfer Ticket has pretty much been made redundant by the Saver Day Pass (bit.ly/2rkekat) and will not be available from 2019.
