Traveling to Switzerland in April good for scenery
Asanka and Vish, a family from Australia, are planning a trip to Switzerland from April 13 to 19, but they're unsure if it's a good time to enjoy nature and scenery. They want advice on whether to go in April or postpone their trip to later in the year to get the best experience.
- The Swiss Travel Pass can offer great value for your trip, especially if you plan to use public transportation frequently.
- April can be tricky for higher-altitude hikes, as many places still experience winter conditions; consider destinations at lower altitudes.
- Late September or October is recommended if you're keen on scenic hiking and favorable weather.

Hi Experts,
We are family of three from Australia. We are in the process of planning 3 week holiday through central Europe ending with Switzerland during end March to April. Due to time commitments we could only be in Switzerland during 13-April – 19-April.
Can someone please advise whether time too early to travel if we are keen to see the nature and scenery? We are planning to allocate 5-6 days for Switzerland.
Thanks in advance 😊
Asanka & Vish
