Trip to Stoos with Saver Day Pass

Short summary – read this first

    Hi,

I’ve been looking to buy the peak experience ticket for Stoos, and they have a different price for the half card card and the Swiss travel pass. I’ve purchased a saver day pass for that day – does that mean I can get the ticket for STP holders since the SDP has the same validity on the map? Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi Tinazz,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

The Saver Day Pass provides free travelling on the Stoos funicular. Just present the Saver Day Pass at the counter to get the access card for the gates. But unlike the Swiss Travel Pass or the Swiss Half Fare Card, the Saver Day Pass is not valid on the mountain transportation on Stoos. If you wish to travel on the chairlifts to Fronalpstock or Klingenstock, you will have to pay the full fare.

You can find more information about the Saver Day Pass here: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass

    Regards,

    Anna

    Hi Anna,

Thank you so much for your reply! I do also have the half fare card on top of the saver day pass. Will I be able to purchase the peak experience ticket for the STP holder then? I’ve attached a screenshot to my post. Thanks again for your help.

    HI Tinazz,

    Hi Anna,

We too are going to Stoos for the day from Lucerne (bus & train). We will have the STP so do we get 50% off on the Stoos funicular?

    Hi Delraysun1,

Travel on the Stoos funicular is included in the Swiss Travel Pass. Please see the coverage map of the Swiss Travel Pass below:

However, if you would like to go further up on either of the chairlifts you will need to buy a ticket.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda

    Thanks Yolanda.

Do you know if the tickets on the chairlifts to the top are at 50% off with the STP?

    Hello again Delraysun1,

No the chairlifts beyond Stoos to Fronalpstock, for example are not discounted with the Swiss Travel Pass. A return ticket would cost CHF 31.

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
