I’m from the US and I’m trying to set up an esim before we visit Switzerland. I got past several registration screens then it asks for my phone number. It asks for my mobile number but it doesn’t seem to accept a US number. It seems to only allow nine digits, while our phone number system uses ten digits.

Any ideas how to get past this? Should I just set up when I arrive in Switzerland? I would like to save some time and have everything set up now.

    Hi Blue,

Yes, you should be able to sign up before you arrive, thereon activation/usage only starts once you arrive physically in Switzerland.

I assume your phone is already eSim compatible? Have you tried reaching out to Swisscom directly?

Otherwise there is of course the option to visit a physical outlet when you are here.

Should you need other mobile internet options, you can find some here:

    Kind regards,

    Yolanda
