Loading Swiss Travel Pass on SBB mobile app

Short summary – read this first

Dana is planning a 15-day trip in September with her husband and has a Swiss Travel Pass. She's trying to load her pass onto the SBB Mobile App but is confused about a 10-digit number it requires, as she only has a 12-digit ticket ID. Additionally, she seeks guidance on reserving a seat for the Glacier Express from Chur to St. Moritz.

Key takeaways:
  • You cannot link the Swiss Travel Pass to the SBB App, but you can display the PDF of your pass on your mobile device.
  • For the Glacier Express, consider using regular trains that don’t require seat reservations, as they cover the same route.
  • If you decide to take the Glacier Express, make your seat reservation through their official website.

I’ve purchased my 15 day Travel Pass for my husband and I for travel September 2nd – 17th. I have the SBB Mobile App downloaded on my phone. I’m trying to load my Travel Pass on the SBB App and its asking for a 10 digit number. I don’t have a 10 digit number. I have a ticket ID which is 12 digits. I would really like to use the mobile app with my Swiss Pass Linked. Any suggestions?

Also, I’ve looked up a train route from Zurich to St. Moritz on Sep. 3rd departing at 12:40. The connection in Chur for this would be a Glacier Express Train. I need to make reservation for that train in the route. When I go to the SBB time table Its saying add to cart, but I’ve already purchased the 15 day passes. So I’m confused on how to reserve this?
