Wengen to como
A traveler named Hodpapa is planning a trip that starts in Zurich and includes a week in Wengen for hiking, followed by a week in Como, Italy. They need advice on whether to choose the Swiss Card or the Swiss Half Fare Card based on their itinerary and plans to return to Zurich for two days at the end of the trip.
- Opt for the Swiss Half Fare Card since it lasts for a month and will cover your return to Zurich.
- Both the Swiss Card and the Swiss Half Fare Card offer 50% discounts on trains and some gondolas, but the Half Fare Card applies to a broader range of transport.
- To find the best deal, calculate your anticipated travel costs with each pass based on your specific itinerary.

Flying into zurich and heading straight to Wengen. After a week there hiking and seeing all the sights, I need to get to Como, Italy. Which rail pass is best for me….the Swiss card or the half price pass? and, can I get to Como using the Swiss Pass or the 1/2 Price Pass. Looking at the map shows a yellow line going into Como,,,,,,,so I’m hopeful. Thanks for the advice.
