Which Android wallet app for Swiss Travel Pass?
Sabby is planning a trip and wants to know about using the Swiss Travel Pass through an Android wallet app. They are unsure about downloading the app, entering credit card information, and whether restaurants charge extra fees when paying by credit card.
- Download Google Wallet if you haven't got a pre-installed wallet app on your Android phone.
- When you receive the Swiss Travel Pass by email, click the link to add it to your wallet app.
- It's fine to use a PDF document of the QR code for ticket inspection, just ensure the code is legible.
- To avoid issues, consider printing the PDF as a backup or share it with someone in your travel group.

Hi there,
We received email notification for Swiss Travel pass either to print out or download Wallet App to android phone. I would like to download the App as it would be more convenient to just show the QR code to the inspector? I don’t know much about the Wallet App and how to use it. Do you know which App for android phone is easiest to use and do I have to put in my credit card information in order to use the App for the Swiss pass?
Also, do restaurants charge a fee when paying by a credit card? For example, some places in Australia charge between 1- 1.5% on top of the total bill if paying by a credit card.
Kind regards
Sabby
