Hello Doug. If your Swiss Passes need to be activated, you can do so at all manned railway stations before boarding the bus. Examples are the main railway station of Basel and Basel Bad Bf. Have a great trip!

Hi Doug,
I haven’t had to “validate” a Swiss Pass for a long time. Just fill in all the required parts such as name(s), country and passport number before you board your first transport. Don’t forget to carry your passports which are occasionally asked for.
Have a good time.

Hi Andrew,
I also thought that it was OK not to validate the Swiss pass. But later i learnt that it is a must and it should be done by the staff at one of the manned stations before you start the journey.Even the train conductor is not authorised to do the validation.
So better get it validated next time when you are there.Ya the details are to be filled in and the passport numbers should match too.
Have a nice time
Regards
