    Hello!

I am taking my family throughout Switzerland for 2 weeks and have purchased 15 day railpasses for everyone. We thought that it would also be fun to travel to Lyublyana , Slovenia for a weekend from some point in Switzerland and then to return. Any advice on how to arrange that? Do we need to change trains at the border? We would like to get sleeper accomadations also

    Thank you very very much!!!!

    Roy7

    Hello Anna

Thank you very much! This really helps us. Another question….Slovenia looks so enchanting. 3 days seems so short Have you been to the capitol and been other towns in Slovenia? It would be such an adventure even for 3 days. Your thoughts?

    My very best to you

    Hi Roy7,

I have been to Ljubljana a few summers ago. My family and I did a day trip from Croatia. Slovenia is definitely a beautiful country. Looks a bit like Switzerland too. I would love to go back there and stay for a week or longer to explore the country.

    Regards,

    Anna

If you want to see scenery all the time and have the time to allot to it, you can travel on the daytime Eurocity train to Graz from Zurich. Graz is in south Eastern Austria and has good connections to Slovenia.

Slovenia is very much like Switzerland

Here are some picture I took in May of both the night train and the Graz day train:
