First, I need to tell you that this site is excellent.

I’m arriving at Zurich with my wife and taking a train direct to Lucerne. Will stay 2 nights then going to Murren for 7 nights. Taking a train to Milan.

What is the best pass option if I want to visit most of the area around Murren? And what pass will cover the train to Milan.

    Thank you.

    Hi Roberto,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps.

If you are planning to spend most of your trip in and around Mürren, you might want to consider combining a Swiss Half Fare Card with the Berner Oberland Pass. I think having the Berner Oberland Pass is convenient as it provides free travelling to almost all the important attractions in the Bernese Oberland region. You can find further details about the pass here: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/berner-oberland-pass/

If you have the Swiss Half Fare Card, you can purchase the Berner Oberland Pass at a reduced rate and also discounted point-to-point and excursion tickets outside of the Bernese Oberland (where the Berner Oberland Pass is not valid). This include Saver Day Pass from Mürren to the Swiss border enroute to Milan. You can find further information about the Swiss Half Fare Card here: https://www.myswissalps.com/travel-ticket/swiss-half-fare-card/
