I am going to purchase a second class Swiss Travel Pass when I arrive in Switzerland. I have 1st class seat reservations on the Golden Pass on the Zweissimmen-Montreux portion of the trip. When I buy my Swiss Pass, do I need to upgrade my entire

Swiss Pass from 2nd to 1st class, or is my first class seat reservation guarantee I am in first class for that portion of the trip? Something a respondent said on this forum made me wonder if my entire Pass needed to be 1st class. Thanks for your help.

Hi Anonymous123,

if you would like to travel first class, you should have a first class Swiss Travel Pass.

In general we recommend to buy online (https://www.myswissalps.com/swisstravelpass/price), as you’ll then have a digital backup of your pass. This is not the case if you buy your pass in Switzerland. Hi, if i booked a glacier express one month before in advance, what if when that day come the weather is cloudy is there any chance to rebooked it or cancelled?

The cancellation policy depends on the reseller you purchase the tickets/pass from. So be sure to read the terms and conditions before committing to a purchase.
